On 25 September we renewed the third issue of the FONCA grant for the research on social housing in Mexico.
The project Ruta del Peregrino was awarded by the Biennal of Architecture of Mexico with the Silver Medal as best religious building concept.
The project Ruta del Peregrino was chose to be exhibit in the Venice Bienal 2012, curated by the architect David Chipperfield.
Derek has been invited by the University of Texas at Austin to lecture, as visiting professor, one of the spring 2012 studios. The current world situation has led Derek to challenged his students to participate in the Architecture for Humanity competition Unrestricted Access as part of the semester program.

This is an opening on September by Latin Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. We were invited to participate with the Pilgrim’s Route project. The aim of this exhibition is to introduce and research in Latin America as a place of great historical and modern development of architecture and urban planning.
We want to show a sneak peek of one of our ongoingprojects, the Lookout point and Cafe-Restaurant of the Parque Mirador Independencia, Guadalajara. It is situated next to Herzog&de Meuron’s project of the Museo de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo, forming part of the Masterplan of TOA.

In the symposium Latitud3S in Austin (Texas) the new edition of the fourth O’Neil Ford Duograph was announced. It presents Tatiana bilbao´s house-project in Ajijic (Guadalajara, Jalisco) and our apartment building CB 29 in Cálderon de la Barça (Polanco, Mexico City),two typical building types of contemporary architecture.
Recently we were invited to participate in the invited competition of Lecumberri-New Palace destinated for the national archive museum of Mexico City. The challenge of the project was to convert the old prison into a place of study, meetings and public use. Between our Mexican colleagues our proposal for the museum was awarde with the 2nd place.
We have been invited by the Rice Design Alliance (RDA) to participate in their Spring Lecture Series titled Mexico City Surging: DF Architecture on the 17th of February 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Brown Auditorium in the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas.

We are happy to announce that our project Ruta del Peregrino has been nominated for the award in the Future Projects in Masterplanning category at the World Architecture Festival 2009. The project was selected from over 600 entries from 80 countries.
The curatorial team Territorial Agency has brought together all the proposals for the Ordos 100 project to be exhibited in Switzerland during ARTBasel.

We are really exited to follow up the progress of the site of our project Amsterdam 307, the apartment building situated in the area Hipódromo de Condesa, nearby our office. Going along the street of Amsterdam the building you can see the white façade, visible behind the front building.
We are participating in the Holcim Awards 2011 for sustainable construction. Closing date is by finals of March. We are very exited to see the results and other projects.

This year, the pilgrimage from Ameca a Talpa de Allende (Jalisco) will start with the celebration of the Holy Mass taken place at theOpen Chapell la Gratitud (Lagunillas), being the first step before the ascent of Cerro del Obispo.
The mass was celebrated on the 12th of March 2011.

Because of the midterm revision at the University of Rice, we want to share the news that since January 2011 Derek is visiting criticof the workshop ARCH 602_The vertical School at RICE School of Architecture (RSA) in Houston/ USA.
Derek Dellekamp was recognized as an Emerging Voice of 2009 by the Architectural League of New York. Derek presented the firm’s work on March 5th, 2009, at the UrbanCenter, 457 Madison Avenue in New York City.
We have been selected to be a part of the Squat City exhibition at the 4th IABR International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam 24.09.2009-10.01.2010) showing our Tlacolula social housing project. As a part of the selection, Tlacolula will also be featured with 30 other projects through a mini documentary on the Urbaninform website.

We are happy to announce that our work has been selected by Ai Wei Wei for the Phaidon10 X 10_3 publication. One hundred of the most talented emerging architects from all over the world have been selected by 10 contributing curators.

We are proud to announce the premiation of the projectRuta del Peregrino with the first place in the classification of urbanism of the XIX CEMEX Building Award.
Objective of the award is to recognize the small, medium and large contemporary building works, which stand out for the constructional, conceptual, technical and esthetic solutions implemented, in all countries where CEMEX has operations.
With pleasure we participated in the exposition ARCH AUSMX2010 at the Guilford Lane Gallery in Melbourne, curates by Luby Springball.
The inauguration of the exposition was on 14th of September 2010, showing the work of the 20 best contemporanean architects. Because of the good perception in the public the end of the exposition was extended and perhaps it will continue in Sydney and Auckland.
The Symposium about education in Architecture, organized by the University of Architecture and Design Veritas the 11th of October was an extraordinary experience.

We are honoured to announce that Derek Dellekamp has won the award CAM-SAM Bicentenario al Mérito Profesional y Jóvenes Arquitectos in the category of Architecture.
With the prize the Association of Mexican Architects (CAM SAM) aims to recognize the young architects under the age of 40 whose work stands out in the areas of Architecture, Urbanism, Housing, so as Research and Publication.

This year we received a polite invitation from the Iakov Chernikhov International Foundation (ICIF) to be one of the participants in the third edition of the International Iakov Chernikhov Prize “CHALLENGE OF THE TIME” 2010.
Lately, our project of social housing “Tlacolula”, awarded by the Biennal of Architecture of Mexico with the Silver Medal as best social housing concept, was subject of different interesting articles.
We want to share the good news that the project En Sully in Switzerland has won the first prize in the competition and is currently being presented to the neighbouring community to continue its development.
The swiss architects Christ&Gantenbein realized the masterplan for a residential quarter on the riviera of Lake Geneva. They invited us and a selection of international architects to be part of the team to develop the buildings in the proposed “Garden City”.
We are very happy to announce that our project in Oaxaca-Tlacolula has been received a Silver Medal at the XI Mexican Architecture Biennal, honoring it as the best social housing project in the country.
Once more we want to thank the mexican artist of plastic art, Jeronimo Hagerman, for his herritage of the beautiful veiling plants which he exposed in one of his works in the museum Sala de Siqueiros (INAM) of Mexico City, to give them a new context in our project Michelet 50.
