The central idea of Ordos 100 was to develop 100 villas in Ordos, Mongolia. To make this a reality, 100 architects from 29 different countries were nominated by the architecture firm Herzog & De Meuron. The client is Jiang Yuan Cultural & Creative Industrial Development Ltd. and Jiang Yuan Water Engineering Ltd., the master plan was realized by the Chinese architect and artist Ai Weiwei and his atelier FAKE Design.

We designed a container that holds everything with the simplicity of a single line that turns into an ellipse. The project aims at showing the entire program as a statement of ownership to the site. An uninterrupted surface created by grey brick and curved glass clearly separated the interior from the exterior, while projecting framed reflections of the surroundings. The service areas and vertical circulations are gathered in the center.
